Business credit built on your personal profile
Syndicated Line of Credit
$5,000 – $250,000
- No business history required
- 680+ personal credit score
Typical requirements. Individual lenders set their own criteria and availability differs by state and industry.
Several accounts are opened in your name at the same time, giving a combined limit far larger than any one of them alone would provide.
Approval rests on your personal credit rather than business revenue, which is why this works for a business with no trading history at all.
The tradeoff is that the credit sits with you personally rather than with the company, and shows on your personal credit report.
When it suits
- A business that has not opened yet, or has no deposit history
- Owners with strong personal credit and low card utilisation
- Startup costs where there is no asset to secure funding against
What to watch for
- It affects your personal credit. Balances count toward your utilisation, which can lower your score even when you pay on time.
- The 680 floor is a real floor. Below it, this route generally closes.
- Several accounts opening at once means several hard inquiries in a short window.
Common questions
Can I get business credit with no trading history?
Yes. This is one of the few routes that does not require it, because approval rests on your personal credit rather than business revenue.
What credit score do I need?
Our lending partners generally want 680 or better on personal credit. There is no revenue requirement.
Does this affect my personal credit?
Yes. The accounts are in your name, so balances count toward your personal utilisation and the applications appear as hard inquiries.
